-What first attracted you to apply for a job in at Kawai?
I had a lot of job opportunities at the job searching agency. Kawai stood out from the rest of the companies because they strive for drastic change. One example of this is in the manufacturing world. In Japan, the common conception of manufacturing is a boring and repetitive task. Kawai wants to change this into something that is fun and I see value in that. I really share and am compassionate about the values of this company. Kawai takes care of its members and treats them like family while engaging in community support. On top of all that, what the company was looking for and what I wanted to do matched perfectly.

-What is your role here at Kawai Corporation?
I work in the I.T. division. I help by improving IT literacy of employees and helping the board of directors make the right decisions. My main duties include systems planning and website management. Right now I am trying to develop a database to store all of the company’s information from know how to documents and blueprints. This will allow for information sharing, email and file storing for the company.

-What is your favorite aspect of working at Kawai?
Everything is my favorite because this company trusts me and my decision making. This means I am able to work with freedom. When it comes to the website, management trusts my judgement about the cost even if it seems a bit expensive. For the new process control system, the company lets me make decisions instead of micromanaging me. This company proceeds slowly but confidently. I enjoy working with the other employees. They are kind and delightful towards me. They also love the company and are aggressive to make Kawai better.
