As of the year 2014, our company is 85 years old. Kawai Corporation was founded during the Great Depression of 1929. Our beginnings were in repairing soldering irons. Up until 20 years ago, the major products that we manufactured were heaters for microwave ovens, dishwashers, and other home electrical appliances. However, we now provide the heat that our customers need in the "form" of heaters as our core business in order to expand our target markets, in the areas of medical equipment, semiconductors, and ITS.

Although the number of heater manufacturers in the world is nearly as numerous as the stars in the sky, Kawai offers an incredibly high level of adaptive planning to our customers, honed with the experience we have gained in our interactions regarding heaters. We also offer our superior strengths when our customers come to us asking "we need to heat this part...", as we work right alongside them in their new product development process.

Rather than just offering heaters with predetermined specifications, Kawai excels in developing custom heaters not found anywhere else in the world, as our sales reps work together with our engineers in our Japan headquarters.

Rather than just doing an effective job of making low-cost products, we focus our efforts on putting our know-how and ideas together, creating products as yet unrealized. The harder the challenge, and the smaller the production quantity is, the greater our strengths shine. Although Kawai Corporation provides its services to other businesses, we're also involved in local activities, to instill a feeling in our community that "we're glad that Kawai's right here!"
